Nurturing Hearts Birth Services was founded in 1997 by Stephanie Soderblom.

    We believe that the birth of a baby is more than a means to an end, and it's more than just another day in your life. The birth of your baby is the single most important and life-changing day of your life - more than graduating high school, more than graduating college, even more than the day you got married. The day you become a parent is the day that your life is forever transformed, and it's a day you will remember for the rest of your life.

Meet our members

    Doulas certified by Nurturing Hearts carry the initials AZCD after their name, and Nurturing Hearts certified childbirth educators carry the initials AZCCE. Stephanie believes in the highest quality of training and believes that it doesn't end with the workshop, but that training continues on through experiences. She feels strongly in maintaining contact with her members and offers them support and guidance for years after training. Mentoring of new doulas/childbirth educators by those currently certified is strongly encouraged.

    Stephanie is a wife and mother of four who is a certified doula, certified childbirth educator, and certified breastfeeding counselor who has been attending births since 1995. She is a fifth generation Arizonian who is honored to be helping families have better birth experience, if not directly, then through those she has trained as doulas and childbirth educators.
